Yess i’m back with ANOTHER Kat Von D product! Today I am going to be reviewing the Kat Von D Shade and LightEye Contour palette, firstly I just want to say the word ‘contour’ confused me first, its a eye shadow palette? So whats with the contour?? But with the palette came a leaflet advising you how to use each section of shades to ‘contour’ your eye, giving it different illusions, such as making it look longer or bigger, so now that’s out the way on to the review.
I purchased the Kat Von D Shade and Light eye palette when the KVD products launched in Debenhams I have seen many bloggers using this palette most not from UK and I have always wanted it so as soon as I saw it online I added it to the shopping basket and I am so glad I did because I have been back on their website before writing this review to check the prices out again and its gone!? I don’t understand why as the other palettes are still available, also if it was out of stock it would usually come up and it would say its out of stock? I was going to get the interstellar palette too, but I thought I would buy one check it out and if its worth it I could purchase that one too.
The palette cost me£36, which is pretty expensive but after using it I now know it is totally worth every penny! I love that the palette contains a huge mirror inside! It makes taking it away with you so much easier, also I love the detail of the whole packaging from the raised logo on the top to the detailed mirror cut out! It has a sleek feel to it which adds a touch of quality to the palette.
The shades…where do I begin!??? when I swatched the first shade in this palette I was lost for words! It feels so buttery yet its powder, and a little amount really goes a long way! The shades are so beautiful, it really is the PERFECT nude palette I own! the shades combined can create a simple every day look or a dramatic evening look! I love it! I found with my usual palettes I was taking the shades on the brush and applying them with pressure (not the kind to pop my eye ball out!) But with this palette I have to be light handed and the brush picks up quite a bit! The only thing I would say I don’t like this palette, is the fall out! If you are heavy handed you get crazy fall out! BUT that is not an issue I honeslty thing nothing can replace this palette! It is everything I want all in one palette
Rate Product: 10/10
Would I recommend this product: Yes
Would I repurchase this product: I don’t usually go back to same palettes once I have purchased it, so I think I would buy another palette from the range Definitely!
